Could anyone realistically tell the difference between 1333MHz vs 1600MHz on DDR3? DDR2 seemed to have bigger changes done since it started at around 500 and then 800 and 1066MHz models were available.

No. Nothing that a DDR3 based system would be doing would be choked by 1333mhz, unless you have some big fat server chip.

Only during gaming on an OC'd 4790K. Had to go with 2400 because even 1600 was stuttery.

Are you using that because you want to? Or because the government is taxing 99% of your income to import more syrians and Nafris, and you can't afford something better?

Damn what year is it?
More on topic I've actually noticed a pretty big increase in speed from DDR4 to DDR5, which is pretty nice.

You can, but why would you? What is the use case that would even make sense unless you are just strapped for money?

Because you can get equally performant machines that sip wattage which means less heat and bills long term, don't need full size cases and can be neatly tucked away and have whisper quiet cooling.

This conversation isn't worth continuing at this point. Neither of us are going to change our minds.
