I'm building a budget-spec slim form factor Intel PC. How does /g/ feel about the i5-12600k?
I didn't want to go with Intel initially, but it was cheaper to do so compared to upgrading my AMD build, and apparently this is one of the better mid-range CPUs to pick up.

Bare in mind I jumped to this from a i5 4670K so it was a colossal performance jump.

I was just going to put the guts of my current PC (AMD) into the new build with some long-needed upgrades along the way (since they are both mATX), but for whatever reason it's been difficult to find reliable motherboards with the features I want that didn't cost more than the Intel boards. (which are usually more expensive than AMD?)
I want to keep my DDR4 RAM, I didn't think the current prices for a 16GB DDR5 kit was worth it. I don't know why a B550 motherboard that doesn't crap out or barely has any kind of heatsink was impossible to find at a justifiable price, but it was.
Same with finding a good graphics card upgrade, which in this case has to be a low-profile.
I had to settle with Nvidia again because I couldn't find a fucking Radeon or even an Intel card since they were either out of stock on every place I looked online, or being sold by scalpers in Japan or some shit.
Overall I'm fine with what I ended up choosing, since it'll be more than enough for what I do day-to-day.
