Terry wouldn't have understood the math behind AI or done anything with it. He wasn't some kind of magic wizard. He was a guy who spend 15 years on an interesting hobby project. He did not have any domain knowledge outside the niche topics directly related to his hobby project.

he made his projects by way of divine inspiration and vision. this is the reason he perceives them as an interface with God.
presumedly, for him to think an LLM is divine, each aspect of its production must be divine, even the input data comprising its knowledgebase. that'd be a monumental task. so in all likelihood he would have to carefully curate all the data manually. honestly i think he might've done it if he hadn't died, and it might've had some mainstream appeal in religious circles to have a Christian LLM. it could've given him some purpose and fulfillment to keep trucking.
