Should I get a nicer mouse or should I just keep buying cheap mouses that I can easily replace when they start double clicking? I'm on my 3rd one of these.

Also on my third G203, this one has lasted 5 years and hasn’t double clicked yet. I don’t see a reason to go for a more expensive mouse, as they feel much worse and can still exhibit double clicks.

I'm still using the same G502 from 2016. Had to replace the skates once and now the top layer off of one of the small skates peeled off. I should probably replace them again but I can't feel the difference for now.

If this one ever gives out on me, I think I'm grabbing the version with optical switches to avoid the double-click issues I keep hearing about.

Sorry but that's what I did. Do you have another recommendation? It has to be wired.

I fixed the double clicking in mine with wd-40, a solution I read here. At first I thought it was too simple to actually work, and that I'd need to solder new switches, but boy wd-40 worked like a charm on all switches.

if the mechanical switch dying has been the failure point of your past 3 mice... why not get one with optical switches?
the jews created a problem which didn't exist and are now selling you the solution, there you go.

The easiest thing to fix, just replace switches if you have to.
>G302 optical sensor stopped working
Probably not worth trying to fix this. Looking for a decent alternative to these corposhit mice but I don't have a 3D printer and anything decent is $200+

Buying used is a great option. If you want a nicer mouse, there's a lot of mouse consoomers who buy like 10-15 mice and then need to sell their basically untouched mice because it doesn't match their palm or whatever. You can find these people in hardware swap groups or Facebook Marketplace. Personally I think the Logitech egg mice are fun, the G100s, G203, G303, G305, etc but there's other options out there.

Get either sora v2 or scyrox v8 , these are best mouse imo https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/best/claw-grip Sora has optional 8000mhz dongle, which I can't utilize because my main-game's game engine becomes buggy with settings above 1000mhz (so I only use the 1ghz setting). It's slightly inconvenient to have to buy it separate but it's not end of the world. Sora v2 might be slightly too small to my hand, it's not too bad, and I'm not sure if the scyrox v8 even with more prominent bump is the solution, the solution would be a bigger size claw grip mouse (basically similar shape, but larger, i think such mouse don't exist yet), but since this mouse is only 40g weight the slight size discomfort is non issue, because how good the mouse is otherwise (very, very, very, very, very lightweight, and also 0 latency in the "competitive" mode in the settings).

Had the G502 Proteus Spectrum, decided to take it apart to clean the scrollwheel housing (had collected a lot of dead skin cells and such, was starting to clog)
since I'd have to wait for the new skates, I ordered a G502 X Wireless that had just released (wireless just to have the option)
mouse cleaned, skates replaced, and handed it down to my sister
both are great mice, I would obviously only buy the newer one
ps. use the logitech onboard memory manager instead of shitty ghub for the newer models

I bought good japanese OMRON switches and soldered them onto my Logitech G Pro myself. Was worth it. Runs like new and it cost me 5 eurobucks + 1 hour of fiddling around. Finally a fix for all the shitty double clicking.
The form of the mouse is just too nice.

It's a very easy fix with soldering. Open the mouse, heat both ends of the microswitch that's double clicking, pull it out from the plastic end, and drop a new one in, and resolder. It was my first project soldering and it went well. Also fuck off if you plan on using 'I have shaky haaaaands' as an excuse. Doesn't matter.

Why is there no other mouse on the market that has macro keys you can hit with ring/middle finger? I map PgUp/PgDn to the right side and its perfection

why don't you just get a g502? it doesn't have the macro keys on the right side... but it has another pair you can hit with your thumb
they just moved them there, that's all.

Also I am a zoomer but I don't like wireless stuff, I always go out of my way to get wired. I just don't trust wireless.

And I'm what you call, a gamer. I click a lot. No fucking double clicks.

No clue. Maybe I'm just harder on stuff. I am in America and the 102 does seem to be slightly different than the 203.

Get a proper mouse that allows for drop in replacement of the motherboard or allows cheap replacement of switches and scroll wheel encoder.
