Why does Brave use so much fucking RAM? I'll have like the catalogue open and the youtube homepage open and Brave will be using up 9 and a half gigs of ram

It needs all that ram to store all the telemetry and os fingerprinting they collect on you and phone home to their servers and google servers and their default whitelisted fb servers. If you are using a manifest v3 browser in 2025, you deserve to be spied on and have your data stolen.
