It's great when you need a Chromium browser but otherwise Firefox is just better.

vanilla chrome lacks any optimizations for hw acceleration. the forks take this into consideration like vivaldi and opera gx.

Don't update your browser. uBlock uses manifest v2 and v2 is deprecated. You can't block ads on manifest v3, which is what the browser uses now. So it doesn't depend on the website, the uBlock extension itself doesn't work.

That option allows extensions with legacy (unsupported) manifest versions to be loaded as unpacked extensions. It should only be used for maintaining legacy extensions and will be removed in the future.

you can still enable mv2 in the chromium flags. there's an issue in ugc's github that had and still has constant discussions about this for years, so i wouldn't worry about it if i was you. if you're going to install a gimped browser, at least use one that has better developers, like basilisk. nowadays firefox is chromium but worse, as mozilla keeps bending the knee to google and is too malicious to be in charge of projects.

It lets you pick and choose what google shit you actually want to have. Literally just download the chromium store extension and it will bypass googles silly blocks on the chrome store.
