What the fuck would you expect
Some people will give up just about everything to get something that's modular or repairable, I swear to god

They're crashing the company on purpose. Linus from Linus Tech Tips needs to bring in the CEO for a real heart to heart wake up call about their poor decisions this past year.

Framework has just been making more and more bad decisions lately. Linus needs to call the CEO in for a meeting to fix their company and learn how to launch a product and keep your customers happy.

I quite enjoy my Framework 12 actually, and turns out the reviewer had a faulty unit that slipped the QC, but he did make some good points about Framework's value proposition

You mean the weak back panel and square structure that holds the screen was faulty? Can't even put the laptop in a backpack withotu breaking the screen.

Compared to his F12, mine had less flex than what he showed, especially when pressing the screen from the back, I still have the backlight bleeding if I try to bend the screen but not to the degree he showed on the video.
I've compared it to a T480 I had around, the top panel exhibits the same behavior. The screen flexes a little and you press it from the back and if you try to bend it from the side some of the backlight bleeds. The T480 has a much sturdier bottom panel compared to my F12, but it's definitely sturdier than his F12.

There is no reason why a screen should be flexing. My laptop from 2015 doesn't even have flex in it

This device is intended to be a low-end option for schools and poor people, so there is nothing wrong with this list except for the price, which can be partially explained by its modular features. I hope they will offer a cheaper price for schools, or this product might be dead on arrival.

I really hope they eventually offer upgraded modules, like better speakers, microphone, screen, silicon whatever battery, power button with fingerprint reader (the mainboard apparently has unused pins for the power button that could be used as a fingerprint reader). I really dig the form factor.

I would rather have a 2015 MBP than this, for half the price. Or an M1 Air for the same price.

they really fucked up by not just making a new flip-around touchscreen for the 13, this thing is an abomination.

single-channel RAM on a 13th gen? 2230 only for SSD? what were they thinking?

>>105893964
this is a direct response to them selling the 13 Chromebook and brown children trashing them. it's an absolute black hole of money and this is why your property taxes are so high (school district bonds are paid by your property tax and get spent on overpriced shit like this)

They are infested with DEI/leftism and it will tank the company, I'm sure Apple and Dell already have employees placed here to fuck them up, they stand to gain the most from nuking Framework.

remember, we're not allowed to have good things in America

why didn't they put a Qualcomm or Mediatek ARM chip in this? Even an AMD Z1 is a better choice than a fucking 1315U
