I've been wanting to work on a similar project but for doujins/mangas, I have over 3000 tanks and I'd like to search them by tags.
I've recently added a text file with extracted tags from exhentai for the newest entries but I miss about 2500 tanks and many do not have a corresponding entry as I made the compilations myself.
does the auto-generation works fine on mangas? even on older low-ppi scans? it would take way too long for me to do it by hand...

What about running an embedding model to group similar images together?

I made two scripts:
the first is python script, that takes scheduled scans for new files in downloads folder results, both images and videos, searches for duplicates and aigen metadata, tags them with wd tagger, puts the results in a database and based on tags sorts them into dirs like nsfw, etc.
The second script is js in a html page: it lets to search in the database for tags and shows the results in a browser.

I think I could add another taggers, clip, or even use a llm for better search. But it still will not understand memes.
