Sup nerds, I'm learning python, you know how old guys are always like 'oh man if I was your age instead of some old faggot I'd have done xyz'?
Give me that kind of advice as it relates to python. Shit you wish you knew, did differently, learned sooner. Don't tell me not to do it, I'm just learning it to make my boss at work look bad because I didn't get a promotion this year

just learn enough so you can read it
the chatbots are good enough at it + improving at a rate that means you'll probably never be better than them
so just learn enough to not be lost and just prompt

Yes! Great catch, I thought maybe I could write them both on the same if line, like

if y == "watermelon", "fried chicken"

But that didn't work. Is there a way to do that? I also tried an or with a print call after and that wasn't functioning right

most python tutorials online are written by stupid pajeets. Also guido van rossum (the python guy) is an anti-white pro-DEI retard.
In my experience, if you use python at work, either:
a. Your team has a pajeet infestation
b. Your team has a decent number of smart people who could not be bothered to learn a good language. Think math/phyics/stats phds

That brings up an interesting question, do company's say "we're gonna use x language"? And that's it? Because our software download catalog does support one or two other things and not python, I was somehow able to download it and get it working but do you think the fags at work will be like 'sorry bro we don't use that here '?

Basically India won. This higher classes get to use Python because it's nice and easy. The filth gets to use Java and C#, maybe Rust if your better really want you to suffer. That's how it works now. Programming language selection is a caste based choice. Oh and if you're white you're not even getting in the door as outsiders are not allowed.

Making classes and using magic methods is fun. I'm a C++ dev by day so doing it the "python way" is kind of a rush, kinda like sniffing glue or something.

You can explicitly tell it what you want it do upon instantiating an object.

The most basic thing to do with it is a singleton, where no matter how many times you try to instantiate an object only the first one actually exists.
Some times you might only want one of a thing, like a gamestate object, or an object that connects to a database or whatever.
class Singleton:
_ins = None
def __new__(cls):
if cls._ins is None:
cls._ins = super(Singleton,cls).__new__(cls)
return cls._ins

Alright you've convinced me, I just ordered a tiny Lenovo 100e 11 inch laptop so I can do this shit in bed. It's weak but that'll keep me from fucking around with anything but the coding and chatbot shit through browser, specs:
Processor: Intel Celeron N4020
Operating System: Windows 11 Pro.
Display: 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) anti-glare, 250 nits.
Memory: 4GB DDR4 of LPDDR4.
Storage: 64GB eMMC
Graphics: Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600

I'll just use a $100โ€“$200 used Thinkpad or whatever in that range unc, since everything can be deployed to the cloud now. You can even use Telegram to deploy a chatbot. A computer just makes it easier to run pip install or do basic setup that's why it doesn't need to be fancy

Also, if you're into multiple-inheritence fuckery, there's an explicit __mro__ function you can override to deal with the diamond problem.
You probably wouldn't need to mess with that in a professional environment, as it's considered bad practice, but you can do some straight up black magic shit like that if you really want to.
It defines the 'method resolution order' of overridden methods.

Oh yeah the piece of shit I bought was only $100 refurbished, I'm of the same mind so just wanted something small with a keyboard. Wife and I spend the evenings naked in bed so something small and cheap to toss around is ideal, got a dog that'll jump all over it, apparently these were bought for schools and if it can survive the wrath of little niglets it'll survive my dog. Just hoping 11 inches isn't too small. I have an old acer laptop from probably 2015 that I love but she's a 19 incher and in bad shape, using her next to my work setup so I can write my anti democracy philosophy book that should be done in a couple months

I'll take the bait.
If you aren't willing to actually sit down and do the bare minimum learning the simplest language, move on. Do something you have passion for. Learn a trade. Literally anything else seems more suited to your intellectual capacity.

If you decide to persist regardless, then hop on codecademy or something and actually learn the language, the tools it has, and how to work with it, rather than strong arming it to behave the way you want.
Do programming challenges for the sake of doing it. Learn how to connect to APIs, interfaces, systems.
Basically, put in some fucking effort you zoomzoom (Spiritually if not chronologically) faggot
