It's for professional use.

Video editing and shit. They don't need gaymen high FPS because it's not a child's toy.

I have an MBP and it goes up to 120Hz but it does variable refresh rate and usually doesnโ€™t bother with higher than 60
The only time I notice the extra hertz is when Iโ€™m switching between workspaces
I also have a 120Hz-capable iPad and plug it into a 60Hz monitor and it just looks a little less washed out when scrolling
I have an old Linux machine that does 4K@30Hz and Iโ€™d rather have the extra sharpness always than the smoothness only when something on the screen is moving
it kind of sucks having choppy mouse-pointer updates at 30Hz, though

Have you checked the release dates for those? Theyโ€™re old
Apple releases a new monitor like every five years or ten

Not going to lie, anon. I own a 1440p 144hz monitor and a 4k 60fps one, I don't give a fuck about the trail I see while moving things around in the 4k monitor.

Apple has the history of making most baffling displays out of any manufacturer
they kept to 60hz wayyyy beyond others
the pixel response times were switch 2 tier
and ofc the apples fans paid double for the pleasure of using the slowest, low hz displays with an apple logo

>It's expensive but also trash
You're paying for Apple's marketing budget and access to the vaginas of fellow AppleSlop purchasers. That's literally all there is to it.

High refresh rate displays are also VRR capable you fucking retard, which means you can watch 24, 48, 50 fps content without stutters unlike on static 60 Hz panel. But I guess so called "professionals" doesn't care about that, right?

doesnt even matter when their response times are 10x slower than walmart budget trash
crapple currynigger screens are all crippled to 10hz equivalent by its response times in all real world use cases
you can't even watch a 24fps movie from the 80s on a currybook without the entire screen becoming a runny blurry smear

iNiggers WILLINGLY pay 1000% more to get 10% the product
they are literal subhuman trash beneath even literal actual niggers in intelligence

Pro Display XDR is horribly outdated now. it has only 500-dimming zones (macbooks have 2500 dimming zones). you can buy a chink 160Hz HDR1000 miniLED with 1500-dimming zones for less than $500
