HD video playback is HW accelerated so it works on even a shitty $10 Chinese Android TV box. Just disable Google Play services, load up Kodi 18.9 and you're good to go. The problem is when you're using streaming services and they try to push you codecs that aren't accelerated.

Long time Xiaomi buyer who now has google fi and gets insane discounts like A36 5G for 100 bucks on their shop.

Xiaomi just has unpredictable battery life outside the first month or two of use, don't even get me started on HyperOS/MIUI updates that fuck your device. After an upgrade yo basically need to factory reset->debloat->let battery go to 0->slow charge and maybe have some decent battery life similar to how you bought it in under a year ago

weird, all the Xiaomi devices I've had have been fine on that front. my old Redmi Note 6 Pro still works fine, though I gave it to my mom when I bought my current Redmi Note 10 Pro 4 years ago. that RN10P still has incredible battery life for its age, I charge it like once a week
