>>105902024 bcause for that price point you have to chose components for existing parts bin and there was no display that was 3mm taller and other dimensions are constrained by other parts dimensions. Samsung could probably make it with smaller bezels but at idk $800 price point?

Yeah it's pretty cool desu Would be even better if the keyboard was slideout or it was smaller.

>>105899144 (OP) >Unihertz Nice try, not falling for this fucking trick again. >successor to Passport You'd literally be better off buying a used Passport and dealing with it being old than using Unihertz phones.
>>105902317 Just going off their previous track record >Chinese quality phone >Not FCC approved >No 5G >No support >Screen resolution is bad (you'll go back to your main phone trust me its that bad) >Keyboard is not easy to use (you will realise why touchscreen kb exists) >Battery doesnt last that long >Old asf android that never gets updates >Dedicated third party community on discord that try to supply fixes to the phone but theres only 2 faggots in there, 1 cant speak english and the other keeps spamming his Gargoyle book asking for money. >>105902336 Shill harder, faggot.
>>105899144 (OP) The recent uptick in threads about this specific product on this board over and over again is extremely inorganic. And I know you think that we can't tell.
>>105902973 its cool niche phone. would rather discuss about it than macbook/iphone. idk what's your problem with that, want mainstream stuff - head up to comments section on techniggers youtube.
It seems to be thicker, and much more square on the sides than the Passport. The Passport had a very nice profile to the sides. This just seems crude.

>>105902348 you did not even looked at Titan 2 didnt you?
>has 5G >Android 14 with promised update to 15,16 (i think i heard even 17, but not sure, would have to look up the youtube video again) - well if it will be selling in EU they are basically forced to support it with few new versions
>>105904456 Thats kind of a stretch since the case is all around worse and its a mediocre MediaTek SoC powering it. Phone screens aren't even that expensive.

>>105904363 Is it possible to make the Passport use usb-c?
>>105904632 Anon, that's a photo of it being tested. They're shipping the phones early next month, of course they're not gonna look like that on release.
>>105899144 (OP) I've backed the kickstarter, I'm making this post on my Titan slim but it is really not doing that good these days.

>>105905071 Those are so old now it doesn't matter anymore, you can't use them as daily phones. I had the first one, Droid pro, nothing wrong with OS but keyboard was not that good. I could not get used to it. Before it I used xperia pro with slide out keyboard which was way better for me.
>>105905283 >Those are so old now it doesn't matter anymore, you can't use them as daily phones. If you're referring to 2G/3G, you still can in some countries.
When you talk about the keyboard, do you mean it's not good in comparison to a Blackberry? Or do you just prefer the larger slide out keyboards?
>>105905533 idk I never used Blackberry. I used Nokia E70 for very long time and then Sony like in your pic. They both had landscape keyboards and I could not transition to portrait one. Most likely it's just me since people in general loved blackberry format. 2G/3G is not a problem but outdated OS and by outdated I mean expired certificates which make OS half broken not just app support.
