Success breeds jealousy.
Jealousy breeds admiration.
Admiration breeds imitation.

They don't make fake meat for vegans, anon. They make fake meat for meat eaters to try to get them to switch to plant based food. I wish they would stop because every version of fake meat ends up tasting like pencil eraser, when they could've just made something good directly from the plants instead of wasting food trying to frankenstein together faux meat.

That is what vegetarians/vegans do. Like I said, the fake meat isn't marketed at them, it is marketed at people who regularly eat meat to try to get them to eat plant based foods, and is just about the worst way to do it, because the pretend meat always tastes disgusting. It makes no sense to turn chickpeas into impossible chicken, when you could've turned them into hummus instead. One thing takes superhuman processing to produce something that looks smells and tastes like a pencil eraser. The other takes minimal processing to produce something delicious.

As a meat eater I would rather never eat meat again then eat some disgusting fake meat abomination, so that shit is not even for us. Its for no one. And that is why it never sells and rots on the shelf. Even during panic buying and food shortages, the fake never sells.
