>>105908081 (OP) I used it since Jessie, it's literally Debian as-is except for the systemd dependencies. As a general observation Devuan tends to be even more minimalistic in terms of defaults so you may need to get under the hood more often than with vanilla Debian but not that much.

>>105908140 Well you have a point, may i suggest Salix to OP? Being Slackware based makes it kinda parallel to debian in terms of legacy and it's not as barebone as slackware, it has even a package manager based on apt: slapt-get.
