Or you could just do "ls" since it's an alias? Powershell is a billion times better than bash. Can't say the same about nushell since I haven't tried it yet

Powershell is both simultaneously better and worse. It's kind of funny. Biggest hindrance is the shitty python2 and 3 situation with the whole windows powershell and powershell core. Also the abstractions for very basic shit from base64, to managing filesystem ACLs is absolutely dogshit. The amount of times the powershell script looks like a bunch of .NET calls is insanely unreal.

If you have to use it, use powershell core, otherwise don't bother.

It's just
Get-ChildItem | Select-Object Name, Length, CreationTime

The naming is consistent, it's always Verb-Thing.

you don't even need to do that much. you can just run "get-childitem" against a folder path and the attributes you picked are all defaults to return

idk why everyone pipes everything into select-object, you dont have to

I've come to appreciate PowerShell because it's better than nothing and always available even on locked-down corpo machines. The syntax is annoying and some of the variable handling is obtuse but at least I can write useful scripts at all.

it's kinda correct but also overly opinionated and has the general "fuck you i don't want a solution to this problem i want to sperg about it" mentality every slav has about tech. same race that still uses win7.
the part about the CLI is funny though, like why use *nix if you hate it

If you want to do anything useful (ie. that isn't calling executables with variables that can only undergo extremely simple changes like basic arithmetic or user input) you have to
Examples include shell string handling and standard io which are genuinely shudder inducing on unix
Unless you're running something in 10000 nodes performance is fine and anything that is worthy of speed has already been written faster and better than your Cnile niggershit
