How dumb are C-suites?
There is literally a global objective for every company employee starting next year, to use AI when they code.
We will have to prove that we used AI for at least 50% of our code.

Now don't get me wrong, I do use AI, but because I am ignorant of the frameworks and languages I am using, so I use it for the syntax and patterns. And the more I learn the less I use it.

If someone is an expert in their language/framework they have minimal use of AI.

These people are completely ignorant. They have 0 clue how programming works and 0 clue of what AI is capable of and yet they are in charge.

It doesn't make sense.

There's a massive difference between maximizing produced value and maximizing perceived value. People any higher than the, or a person actually doing the work don't give a shit about the first one and the majority of their decisions actively sabotage it.

vibe coders don't want to admit that their coding sits on a foundation of widgets that weren't vibe coded.
