I have two very smart and competent (and likely autistic) female relatives who have been programmers since the 90s and early 2000s and they were the first ones to experience first hand the h1jeet plague. The main change was making launching programs into a single click, like clicking a link on a webpage, instead of a single click to focus an item and double click to open/launch.
