I just tried out wayland for the first time today. The colors look like shit and I can't take screenshots. Why are you retards shilling this so much? I know it's like 50 fewer packages--which sounds cool in theory--but this is literally unusable.

you deserve all of this and far, far worse
i hope your pc burns and you lose all your data including your backups
don't tell me you tried "wayland" if you are using that broken buggy shit known as kde
why did you use kde
what the fuck is wrong with you
everyone knows that gnome is where wayland actually just fuckin werks
don't come crying to me if you deliberately install broken pajeetware like kde instead of golden professional grade software like gnome
fuck you

KDE is nice because it's like Windows 10, and Windows 10 had objectively the best UI ever created.
It's not that buggy if you just uninstall 80% of it and have a very minimal setup.
>>105928719
Does nothing. If I figure out a way to make it work I will try to bind the command to that key though.
>>105928722
Is this even possible to fix? The closest thing I see describing the problem is this link, but there's no solution and it's a year old.

One nice thing about wayland is that my mouse seems to work better. On x11 after every update it would reset my mouse sensitivity to some retarded value.

first take away the freedom to choose your display server
now of course the new one only really works with one desktop environment
that's exactly what everybody hated about Gnome developers
they take away your choice and then present themselves as the only remaining option

Its 50 fewer packages because "Wayland" packs all of what Xorg+a window manager+a compositor all into one.

Practically what this means is exactly what we're seeing now. You have gnome wayland. KDE wayland. wlroots wayland. Hyprland wayland.

For mainstream desktop usage, it now becomes much, much more difficult to develop your own DE, or just go against the diktats of gnome+kde at all. wlroots is already on life support, and Hyprland is blacklisted.

Welcome to corporate linux, we hope you enjoy your stay. Please feel free to sign our CoC and get excited over rust-utils so we can get that filthy GNU stuff off your system.

Use xlibre-server instead of xorg-server.
Also ignore all the gnome and wayland shills, you are entirely correct in that it sucks.

Maybe you're not using the correct color profile, but seeing that somehow you can't take screenshots while that's been working for years it can also be that you have something broken.

KDE sucks. I don't what else you were expecting. Try literally anything else. Hyprland is good. Sway is decent. GNOME is okay if you are neurodivergent. I have been hearing good things about Niri too. I don't know why you went for the worst option out there.

This is simply going to lead to more fragmentation, which imo was the point.
At some point in the future, you will not run linux applications anymore. YOu will run Gnome compatible applications. KDE compatible applications. Maybe some applications will be compatible with wlroots or hyprland, but if there is any serious incompatibility, those guys are fucked.

Qt applications are Display Server agnostic and Gnome uses lots of Dbus for IPC so their apps are also not that tied up to the Display Server.

With a little patch you can run Qt apps on Arcan for example

Fedora Silverblue Linux (Wayland) + SystemD + GNOME.
That is the "just werks" operating system. It is better than Wintoddler shit. It is better than Macjeet shit. It is the greatest operating system in human history. It is a revolution. What would a moron like you know? Fuck off you retard.

Op here, after hours of troubleshooting I've finally found the actual bug. There is no fix until the devs get their shit together. Just have to turn off the bluelight filter/night light.

this post of OPs only proves LOONIX is total bullshit where you constantly have to spend your precious time to "tune it" or "set something up" so it even works

in windows it all just works, even installing drivers is just click --> continue --> click --> finish - DONE
in loonix i seen people tinker in some 80s style terminal command line to install fucking drivers!
