ALL donations to Mozilla are roughly equal to the money that's only (publicly) given to the CEO only (7.000.000,00$)

Did you donate to help Firefox's development any time recently?

I don't think donations have ever gone towards browser development.

You simply can't donate to Mozilla Corporation, you can only donate to the Mozilla Foundation, where it goes to paying the CEOs salary and "outreach" (vacation fund for rich valley girls who pretend to host tech conferences).

The decline was due to Chrome claiming to be the fastest. The modern state of the internet efficiency and speed are an afterthought, and the only reason it's still used is because the defaults on Android and Apple. Anyone that's in tech that uses either safari or a chrome offshoot isn't to be trusted.

This kind of shit is why I would never, ever donate to any open source project. If not just straight up giving the CEO all the donations, they'd be blowing them on stupid shit like social justice or girl programming outreach or basically anything they can come up with as long as it's not programming and does not in any way actually improve the actual project.

I still have a poorfag mentality so I've never donated to any tech company/foundation/dev. I guess I should, but when I see shit like this, it makes me question it... plus mozilla makes a lot of money anyway

>>105935664
I find it funny that not many people know about this. like, the most used browsers out there are forks of a KDE web browser.

>How I donate my 100€ monthly
I think something like this is a good thing to do if you use free software and pirate.
Allocate a specific amount of money that you donate to various projects you appreciate every month. To help keep the light on so to say

I’ve never donated anything but my own contributions to open source. Generally though, I find proprietary solutions are much better so just purchase those instead.

KHTML rules the world. Too bad they (Apple) didn't adopt Konqueror in it's entirety, but only its engine.
Ironically, I use Firefox on Kubuntu.

This is why you never donate to shit because there is no transparency to where that money is going.
