Why are people sleeping on cloud gaming?
Why bother buying a card anymore?

its 20 dollars month people spend 2000 dollars and they will have to spend another 2000 dollars in 4-5 years.
100 months in year is 8 year, so I can play 8 years for the same price, its only half cheaper.
I think Nvidia doesn't care anymore and just punish you if you want to buy a card

Because the latency is fucking horseshit. I tried this for my wife so she could play new world with me last year for the server reset, and the shit was unplayable for her due to the lag, mind you we had att fiber

Did you use Ethernet and not WiFi?
I played WoW on it with no lag.

The only people who spend $2000 are people who can afford $2000

>bro wtf paying 1000 dollars for a graphics card is so ridiculous I'd rather pay 5000 dollars in monthly payments for something I don't even own and I can be denied access to at any moment

why bother with anything that's saas if you don't have to? putting aside the dogshit input latency making it incredibly annoying to play.

Latency is terrible. I have 1 gigabit optic fibre and connect my pc via ethernet, so my internet is not the problem.
Also if cloud gaming ever takes of NVIDIA is just going to ramp up the prices. I would rather build and update my pc ever so often than to give mega corporations the chance to fuck me over. They cannot be trusted.

After 2 years it's $480. But there is no equity. If you bought a 3060 you can still sell it for $200. If you buy from microcenter you can just get their replacement plan and they'll give you 100% of your money back when it dies (you kill the card) within 24 months. Then you just get another newer card with this money. If you just jam the fans and overvolt and overclock it for a while when you hit ~20mos you can just keep upgrading this way.
