My laptop charging port is failing. The only way it can be charged is via USB C charging port. Fuck Lenovo for not putting using the USB C port for backup charging.

I thought it was the cable, but replaced it and same issue. I did have this same issue like a year ago but it magically went away, and it came back with vengeance yesterday. The only way I can get my laptop to charge is to put pressure in a specific place that basically tugs down on the port.

I cleaned the port out with a sewing needle and it made no difference.

It's a USB C port
Resolder a new one
They're braindead easy to replace

Is the USB-C port clean? USB-C ports being unreliable, "magically" becoming better and then connecting only if you apply pressure in specific ways is usually a symptom of a dust-filled USB-C port, just clean them up with ultra fine tweezers or an old toothbrush.
