I've been using Fedora for half a year and I'm really happy with it. Any big reason to switch to arch as an average pc user other than the aur?

there's no reason

Doesn't Chaotic AUR have precompiled software?

idk, been a long time since I last used arch. also I never used that repo so idk.

a tip that I would give is to edit /etc/makepkg.conf to optimize compilation flags

agreed
its the default linux distro
i'm trying to convert /hsg/ to understand this
it's a perfect server distro
i don't want to hear from wincels who think stability only comes from a gay LTS label

The AUR isn't that bad actually, but you gotta use a helper or you will have a gorillion dependencies that are impossible to track manually.
