Canceled my Spotify subscription and bought a $15 transistor radio on Amazon. I like the 80s rock station. The ads are there, but seem far less intrusive and annoying for whatever reason (compared to Spotify without premium). I'm happy. Why don't you own a radio?

Regardless, you should know that most stations are owned by the same company. The only exceptions are college radio, which I recommend; NPR (RIP) or some non-profits.
