it just works, much better support for everything you’d want since there’s just one version and not 300 different flavors
you do get ms office but the performance is total ass anyway

every single dev in existence wants to nickel and dime you for the smallest piece of software, since everybody using macs is clearly a mark
apple script and automation in general is shit
good power efficiency

not to defend it but this is apple's fault and not the devs'
unlike windows and (to some extent) linux, mac has ZERO care for backward compat and software authors are REQUIRED to stay up to date with every OS update and plan ahead. similar to how it is on mobile devices. maintaining software for mac is way more of a continuous effort than for any other desktop platform
