Do you get brain fog if you wake up at a non-regular time, anon?

If I am used to waking up at 7AM, and I wake up at 9AM instead, I find it hard to code. My brain gets very foggy.

yes. If my waking time shifts by more than 4 hours, it's very noticeable

I've fucked up my sleep schedule this week pretty bad by pulling all-nighters studying. Been waking up at 4PM and going to sleep hours after the sun comes up for days. Can definitely say that the answer is yes. I'm pretty much working on zombie mode at the moment.

Learn more about sleep cycles, you will learn that you should allow yourself to wake up from deep sleep (N3).

I mostly feel fine as I sleepmaxx and try to wake up naturally rather by setting an alarm. But obviously not everyone has this luxury. The thing is that the body has a natural "you should take a nap" time of the day, usually around 6 PM, that gets pushed back if you sleep in. And it feels very similar to brainfog. But for the most part I either power through any brainfog or just accept that my output will be subpar for a while until my brain kicks back into gear.
