I REALLY love inconsistencies in operating systems. I'm literally obsessed with using software that:
- use weird configuration formats (e.g., systemd's ini masterpiece)
- end in an extension I love, such as *.cfg instead of *.conf or not *rc in my $HOME
- use an "_" instead of a "-" in their executable name
- use long options more properly (e.g., -version instead of --version)
- don't cuck themselves like retards to $HOME and put files in the proper corresponding locations such as .config, .local, etc.
Sometimes, I even check the source code of the software I'm interested in to see if it follows the language's coding style guide. If it does, I decide not to use it. The thought of having such a gay software written by cucks installed on my machine literally gives me a sharp pain. If I somehow by accident do have software like that installed, I uninstall it. But even after uninstalling, I constantly think about reinstalling my OS because I think it's dirty.
Anyone else do this?

I manually disable NTP on my devices and set the time wrong. The first thing I do after installing an OS is disabling the parts of core systems that look unnecessary (if they really are or not is no concern), and I do it by physically deleting their code. I log in as root with no password. I patch my VLC binaries with sed to ignore that I'm root. I run gallery-dl as root to download literal terrabytes of amateur porn - off Reddit. Sometimes I get bored of "lunix" and log in to my Windows 7 machine to do my work; I don't notice any change, they're the same. My BSD box runs on a ZFSOnLinux root. My backups are on 5 different genetations of LTO tapes; I store them unlabelled in a plastic tub, together with bags of silica that I found in food packagings. My smartphone has a non-OEM LCD screen replacement while I bought it with OLED; I prefer it this way. When I want loud sound from my laptop I use a bluetooth speaker on the other side of the room; when I want loud sound in other parts of the house, I just up the volume. My iWatch syncs to my Anjeet phone because it's based. My dotfiles are all stored in a single bash script which writes them to my home directory; my system config same thing, it's the same script. When I notice that I've memorized some commandline program, I change its name; my rm is called _rm007killthenigger43 today. This doesn't break scripts bc I just run sed over all the files in my system. On Linux I paint with Paint.exe; on Windows I run the GIMP. When I'm tired of the OS on my system I open GarrysMod 8 and explode stacks off barrels until my motherboard desolders itself; I have no use for weak computers.
In short I Am Chad.

init=/bin/bash with a minimal kernel was fun, re-creating something akin to early 90's linux hacker setup

but its kinda washed-up. i mean, nobody is doing that anymore. it would be kino if it actually was the early 90s but itisnt.

idk i think tinker-trannying is sort of old hat. desu not sure whats left to do in pc-space other than shitpost. is there any avenue in personal computing that hasn't been explored yet?
