I end up with this the concept, keyboard based cursor movement is faster compared to mouse pointer, is just a meme. I've been practicing Vim or Emacs or other tools for a decade, and I'm quite good at both keybindings. But I'm sure avy jump, ace jump, /, or similar shitty type of shits aren't dramatically faster than the touchpad based cursor movement. If you set the mouse cursor speed to the maximum and practice moving it by rubbing your thumb on the touchpad bloody everyday, you can place the cursor with much greater accuracy and intuition than by tapping the keyboard repeatedly.

>>105970305yeah I have the kinda meh speed sorry
>>105970483it's getting faster, yeah I haven't played the monkeytype before, so I was confused
>>105970268 (OP)the name is avy-goto-char in emacs btw
>set the mouse cursor speed to the maximum and practice moving it by rubbing your thumb on the touchpad
That sounds incredibly stupid and annoying.
>>105970658but it isn't bloody hell you know
those type of keyboard jumping methods would require additional steps or cognitive load if multiple words have the same prefix
>>105970483>>105970523That's why you think keyboard movement is worse than mouse pointing.
