No, it's because to use linux you need to be at the same time interested in computers, have basic troubleshooting skills and be obsessed with ownership / worried about one world government / feel uncomfortable being spied on (like dogs don't like when you stare) / worried about science and tech not being closed for study. While many people have at least one feature, not so many have all of them at once.

There's no YOTLD because linux devs spend 99% of their time bitching at each other, while militantly clinging to archaic ways of doing things, instead of ever thinking about how to compete
