There is one anon here that keeps making threads about Xfce and it's getting to me. Okay, what is the best Xfce distro? And why is this DE shilled so heavily here when it looks abandoned??

it used to be good 15 years ago back in GTK 2 era when it would run on like 150 MB or less
now it runs on 1500 MB and yet has no real new features and the same ugly look

this. i installed it on my thinkpad once because it was supposed to be lightweight and simple and all, but it really didn't make much of a difference when compared with kde. maybe a tiny difference? i don't remember exactly but i decided it was basically negligible and just went back to kde

because it works. also you can just customize it.

what distro are you using? on debian it rarely goes over 450mb on idle
