will it take another Snowden-level whistleblower to prove things like Microsoft's insistence on shit like TPM is just pressure from the NSA to be able to spy on the entire world? do we really have no defense from corpos telling us what we can run on our machines?

jesus christ what a retard, linux can easily use the tpm and that way you don't disclose your encryption key to ram, veracrypt/truecrypt do this.

there could be a leak which is like 10x worse than snowden (govt plants tracking device into every baby's skull) and no one would give a fuck. most normies will only stop using windows if it's somehow broken or completely unusable. as long as windows still lets u open ur browser or play vidya no one will gaf

Why hasn't there been any documented cases of cpu backdoors? No one running a CP forum on TOR has been brought down this way. They were all JS or Firefox or VLC or real life opsec problems. Like 99% the latter. If this CPU backdoor is such an easy win then why hasn't it ever been used? Israel hasn't used it. Where is it? You should support Libreboot and other ventures but show the evidence. It's been decades.

I guess technically you have to find the target first to utilize this backdoor, and they could lie about it, but still the evidence seems pretty clear cut. It's either useless as a backdoor or it doesn't really work as such.

Sure I don't think anybody from here should worry about it, but it exists

from what i understand tpm helps against cyberattack. im not sure if it helps if your pc gets physically stolen though.

TPM is a DoD requirement for their own computers. They don't need a TPM chip to spy on you, son, they just check your social media feed.

And when that happens, no one will care, just as no one cared when Prism was hot shit. The world is ruled by normies and normies never learn.
