AI gooning capabilities are going to explode with the release of OpenAI's new open source model
Just dropping this here to let all you gooners interested in AI image generation know
>>105974863 (OP)>OpenAI's new open source modelkek imagine being this naive
>>105974972Yeah, they're delaying everything recently since they took a hit in their workforce from Meta. However, the models will release. Give it time, we will see these technologies used by the public.
So with that being said, how do you feel about the inevitable use of the OpenAI open source model in the realm of gooning?
>>105974863 (OP)I filter AI slop on all boorus. AI is worthless and only for inferior people.
>>105974997Fair enough, that's your taste. I'm more just letting you guys know this is gonna happen, and I'm wondering what you guys think the rammifications will be for this website and beyond.
>>105974987wan exists, and besides, this “open source” thing is just advertising, openai is not trustworthy
>>105975003>I'm wondering what you guys think the rammifications will be for this website and beyond.More filtering of AI slop in the same way spam is filtered. I do not use or consume any form of AI nor I ever will.
>>105974987Feminists exist and therefore will get the model filtered one way or another
>>105975026True, I actually like Wan a lot. However, as long as I can run the open source model offline I don't really care how trustworthy OpenAI is. I can just get some PC or server and run the model on there and never connect it to the internet.
>>105975031AI content is pretty cool, I don't think many people will be anti-AI for long. It'll just keep getting better.
>>105974863 (OP)is that supposed to be hunter schafer
>>105975048Ain't no way. The weights are open too, so as long as you get your hands on it you can do whatever you want.
>>105975062>trustworthyi say untrustworthy in the sense that if it's released, it will be incomplete and filtered, google also mentioned something similar: they're always small, incomplete models, just a taste of the feast, never the whole dish to satisfy you
>>105975141Oooh I see, yeah that's likely. At any rate it'll probably be improved on, and it will most certainly be a step up from all current open source models, even if it's somewhat lobotimized. I doubt OpenAI would allow their percieved position as the best AI company by releasing a subpar open source model.
someone says he'll give you a gift, «tomorrow i'll give you the gift, you'll love it, it's great», the next day «i can't give it to you today, it'll be tomorrow, something wonderful», and the next day «something unexpected came up, not today, tomorrow without fail, trust me»
in the real world, no one acts like that without arousing suspicion, but when it comes to megacorporations, no one seems to find it strange?
>>105975256Half their top AI scientists, researchers and engineers were just swept up by Meta a month before planned release. You should expect some considerable delay when things like this happen.
In this case, I would say it's best to judge the product by its quality at time of release whenever that is due to the unique circumnstances. However, your point would definitley stand if there wasn't loss of key individuals, or in the future if issues like these aren't experienced at OpenAI.
>>105974943It will suck ass compared to what we already have right now. Kimi K2 is insane and is open source, it beats GPT-4.1.
>>105974863 (OP)>OpenAI's new open source modeli will personally travel to israel and visit the wailing wall and buy a copy of the talmud and read it if this happens
>>105975256What is a delayed release compared to corporations killing people and only get a slap on the wrist with fines?
>>105974987>So with that being said, how do you feel about the inevitable use of the OpenAI open source model in the realm of gooning?More factors are at play here, its unclear what will be the future of computing power ownership in the future. Will we get consumer GPUs in the future or will it die out in favour of cloud computing? A local model is only as good as the hardware it runs on
>>105974863 (OP)It's not an image model, retard.
>>1059749872 more weeks, saar, agi this time for sure, just like how gpt2 was agi, oh shit i wasnt saapoosed to say that saar

>>105974863 (OP)i am pretty sure other ope source models wll be better than what they release
>>105975062The reason people don't like AI content is because whatever promptranny shit you are doing is one step away from becoming some fully automated content farm with 0 human input beyond setting it up. And while you can somewhat tell apart AI content from non-AI content, you cannot tell apart something that someone spend hours getting the right prompt and being passionate about the content, and something that had 5 words in the prompt box that average LLM could give you.
>>105978381Also take zinc supplements
>>105978381>After 16 joursYou think I'm that free fucking neet
>>105980318I totally understand where you're coming from, but the way I see it is within a year much of the AI-generated media will be so good that it will be basically indiscernable from human-generated content. We already have a number of AI generations made today and yesterday which have achieved this, but it will become such a norm that the anti-AI sentiment will age like shit in a bottle and be seen more like the anti-electricity propoganda and fear mongering from centuries past (pic related).
As such, I see it as an overall frivolous and short-sighted practice that will only serve to further reduce the performance of artists and other AI negative individuals in the future. My advice: learn to use it like the tool that it is, or be remembered as that stubborn old man/woman who never could get over gas lamps turning into lightbulbs. All while your entire life is being (and already has been) served to you via AI-esque algorithms and robots.
>>105974863 (OP)Local diff is already made for gooning.
Like its actually annoying that the best models ive tried are exquisite at realistic nudes but look like garbage with everything else unless you input a hundred perfect prompts.

>>105975086>take the original unfiltered model>use teams of pajeets and bluehaired hags to RLHF until it's incapable of making goon shit>do a distillation on the result>release the distillationWala, opensource model for goym.
You're a tard if you think the filter's gonna be something like "if goon, don't draw". It's gonna be baked into the model.
>>105974863 (OP)That already happened with WAN 2.1.
>>105985457Nah, it will grow stronger and lot of people will probably stop using media alltogether. The more internet looks like Death Internet theory the more people will hate AI, and you replacing everything with AI just makes them angrier. If you told like 40% of westerners that you will lock them for the rest of the life in AI simulated world where they cannot interact with another person and still have to go to work they would break your face with a fist because that idea itself is inherently digitating no matter how good the quality is, and this isn't new, people thought of these ideas and hated them ever since someone first invented them. The Plato's cave was meant to be a bad thing that we should avoid or get enlightened beyond, not embrace it.
>>105985457AI slop can't even improve performance on shit that it seems to be good at, let alone on shit that it is clearly bad at
Reminder that OpenAI is teasing a new open weights model since at least March 2024.

My advice: learn to use it like the tool that it is, or be remembered as that stubborn old man/woman who never could get over gas lamps turning into lightbulbs. That's because you're an AI degenerate with no ability or even a drive to learn a skill or express yourself in any meaningful fashion. The future is about a sharp divide between humans and pseudo-humans who rely on AI for everything. As a human I don't see AI users as being fully human, they lost everything that made them human once they outsourced themselves to the machine.
As for fiction only old fiction has value. There is nothing post-AI worth consuming or paying attention to. Only old media has value and media that is created by humans. Basically what
>>105987604 says at the beginning. There is no point or pleasure in consuming AI media. It is anti-human, it is the ultimate fake.
>>105974863 (OP)Keep your trash and mental retardation on one of the 7 or so generals you maintain with your co-workers, subhuman. You're getting out of hand.
