I understand the cost cutting measures since sourcing nand chip and then soldering them is cheaper than buying ram module from third party and then integrating them. However I think they should take a hybrid approach. Just solder 16-32GB, however many, and then give 2 extra slots open for consumers to upgrade on their own, so that way its much more friendly.
