Are there any that don't require to install bloated spyware on my phone first? I know there is gadgetbridge but all the new armbands seem to require installing the vendor spyware first to extract a token that is required to connect to the device with gadget bridge.

It's funny how you act like your concerned about spyware, and in the same sentence you admit you have a mobile. Modern smartphones ARE spyware. Not that I'm claiming I'm any better by the way. Guess where I'm posting this from? My God damn phone. Come at me, Google.

Privacy is not about being completely anonymous. It is about minimizing your digital footprint. Yes, by surfing the web, you give the corpos your browsing history etc. But there is much more potential data which can be harvested, like by using a fitnesstracker/smartwatch. There is a difference between harm reduction and completely not caring about privacy.
