>Chat GPT saves me 2 hours of figuring out complicated yt-dlp/ffmpeg coomands
And people call this a bubble, this is great software guys
Of course norms keep asking it retarded shit and just buy it straight up but if you know how to use AI (matrix multiplication software really) it's only beneficial

yt-dlp --help is faster.
Though understandable for ffmpeg

See, this is the problem with LLMs. A real person would have asked clarifying questions like "why the fuck do you want it in AAC" and "do you have YT Premium". ChatGPT just teaches you how to obtain low quality slop.

If I could just run a command like "help [question]" all then an AI gives me the command that would be great
Is there a terminal with AI-integration yet? If there isn't someone should make it

I just want free music for my iPod (which works best with AAC) without the hassle of real piracy, that is all
Youtube serves AAC as standard audio as far as I'm aware anyway, can't get better quality without premium

I've had mixed results with ChatGPT. It's not always correct. I think it's a great tool for getting a general idea of something, but I literally tried to use it with a Python issue I was running into and it couldn't figure it out, or it would just send me on a wild loop. Be careful with ChatGPT.

Yes? This sounds like something a ChatGPT would be able to write in one go.

It's great for quickly generating boilerplate stuff, but if you have no coding experience and are unable to troubleshoot it yourself when things go wrong then chances are you are in for a few hours of frustration when it starts looping trying to troubleshoot its own code.

Then just ask the LLM about that. "How do I get the highest quality sloppy music?". It's not rocket science.

Not OP, but yeah, that's my general experience.
I just got into a new project at work that uses some framework that I never heard of. ChatGPT-o4 was really helpful at helping me understand the main concepts, folder structure, development flow, etc. But as soon as I started getting some less obvious errors, it started to spout complete nonsense, hallucinating flags that do not exist, contradicts itself multiple times without a hint of hesitation. AI seems to be unable or unwilling to tell its own limits.

Due to these reasons I do not think it is a good tool for beginners. You might inherit its false sense of confidence and get really confused when it just straight up makes things up.

And even if its only ever great at generating boilerplate stuff it doesn't need to do much more
Why?
Because if I can use my brain to focus on the more important shit and the AI does all the mundane shit it would make me much more productive

Well ideally it can be improved to the point where it can reliably generate and troubleshoot more complex stuff.

Youtube serves Opus at 160kbps (allegedly, I usually see lower bitrates) as standard.
If you follow the LLM's advice yt-dlp will download the Opus files and transcode them into AAC, at some ridiculously wasteful bitrate.
For your case it's best to use -x -t aac instead to get the 128kbps AAC stream, since that at least is directly encoded from lossless.

You could just use JDownloader2 instead and click the box to filter by audio. Then just transcode to whatever you want with your favorite program, which foobar2000 will do.

It actually isn't, for a variety of reasons that, if you were intelligent, you wouldn't need to have explained to you.

LLMs unironically ARE great for simple tooling and tests. You shouldn't try to write a whole program with them, but they're great for internal timesaving.

chatgpt is really helpful for this kind of thing. use it as an executive thats too lazy to do tasks that he makes an impossibly focused assistant do, and trust the assistant about as much as he would a google search (not really, but sort of). its amusing to me how much nerds hate AI, when they were the ones wishing for it and hyping it up before it came.

I don't use any flags for yt-dlp. It used to work, but recently I've tried and it said something retarded about unsupported SIR/SAR stream something. I've checked stackoverflow and github issues and their solutions didn't work. I wasted over an hour looking for a solution. I don't even use it directly usually. I just was too lazy to configure mpv on windows, but after I couldn't download a video with it I just configured mpv. I used mpv and it just played it. I don't download videos for later so whatever. Mpv just works, I don't know what the fuck it is doing under the hood other than it used yt-dlp (or youtube-dl) for youtube. I wonder maybe youtube-dl actually works and yt-dlp have issues with that kind of stream. I didn't use youtube-dl for years.

well, i cant emit an informed opinion since faceborgs is the only api i worked with
well, theres him and binance but binance doesnt really count
i do the most basic shit on the latter, i just poll it for market snapshots

but the delays coming from the verifications sure were an annoyance with facebook
fukken
wanna write an app? well, you will have to write a second one just so that faceniggers can be sure you wont do an oopsie with their servers
it makes sense but its still a pain in the balls
