Cause 99% of people running something actually important don't grab 1:1 what's on Github, they use vendored dependencies from companies selling support like Red Hat or even have a dedicated team to package shit themselves like in the embedded scenario. This is mainly an issue for Jeetscrip cause the language is so shit nobody takes frontend seriously so there's a very thin barrier of entry. Anyone can submit NPM packages and no one reviews them.
