I’m a Russian programmer. Used to work over at SAP in Walldorf but they let me go because of my pro-Russia stance. Right now I’m lookin’ for a country to settle down in where I can live and work, preferably somewhere with Slavic roots, none of that globohomo stuff, and a place that doesn’t have a problem with Russia.

What about Slovakia? Heard their Prime Minister Robert Fico leans pro-Russian. Just wonderin’ if that means folks over there are more open-minded toward someone like me, someplace where hatin’ on Russians ain’t the norm.

Tech is already full of hohols here, they probably wouldn't like you being pro-Russian around them, also the tech companies I worked with were all pretty progressive in general

Just come to Poland, learn some simple words and move to Podlasie or some other eastern region, plenty of people hate ukies more than Russians and You can larp as Belarusian at the moment

i'm slovakian but i live in the uk permanently now.
i think it could be a good match for you, but you'll need to learn slovak and it's a very needlessly complicated and difficult language and only vaguely similar to russian. only the really old people can actually speak russian cause they had it in school during communism
bratislava - very westernized, almost globohomo style, but at the same time highest salaries and standard of living
the further east you go, the lower the standard of living but also less western influence
kosice could be a good fit, probably similar life to some russian suburbs, but again, i don't know how you'd cope with the language barrier

also adding on to this, slovakia shares a border with ukraine, and i still keep in contact with most of my friends from high school
the majority if not completely all of them are pro-ukraine, the stuff you (OP) have seen about the pro-russian stance and Fico is mostly rural, older, uneducated people with no education (the people most likely to vote, hence Fico being in power)
he is generally despised by the younger generations and anyone with higher education
so if you're working in an intellectual environment like programming, most of the people around you will share this stance
i personally wouldn't care because i'm pragmatic and know politics are not the fault of an individual like you, i prefer to judge people on a case to case basis, but i cannot guarantee that about everyone around you in the environment you would find yourself in
