It's more a keyboard for ZX Spectrum stuff than to be connected to a modern PC. So it's not short on keys, that's all the ones a Speccy had, and that's the layout they were in. This is a massive upgrade over the original really, since this has real full size keys instead of smaller rubber chiclet keys like a calculator.
Still, making space/break a spacebar below the other keys would be such an upgrade.
