if you look at the entire universe, fat lazy NEETs are actually a pretty rare resource, there's even less than 1 for every 100 stars in our galaxy
also i have no doubt that the entirety of consciousnesses of all life on earth could be transferred to and stored on a trivially small block of computronium. you would probably need less matter than that which makes up manhattan

You do realize that Evangelion is just a setstage for Shinjis inner struggles and how he overcomes them and in turn grows up into an adult, accepting himself.
