What causes this?
>non-deterministic system does unexpected things
But this is still too much!

AI is not intelligent.
It doesn't "understand" anything.

even the term AI isn't technically accurate for these models.
They're basically chatbots that have access to a search engine trained in human speech patterns, hence the more accurate name/acronym, LLM.

if you are too lazy to copy & paste code into the IDE and then run it yourself then you are to blame. why are you letting anything control your deployed code or have file changing ability?

Deserved.
See, this is the problem with ai vibe coders. There's no problem with using AI, but if you think it's a cheat tool into programming, you skip the foundations and fundamentals like having version control and backups

the stupid AI is like a huge semantic landfill.
instruction hierarchy? bruh
logical tree and steps? hopefully there's no hallucination in it...

Maybe you shouldn't have trained it on literature that has the concept of panicking, like the messages of game modding discord trannies. Then it won't panic on getting enough "that wasn't supposed to happen" messages.
>>105997238
But it can generate text that looks like panicking or panicked thoughts and then feed that to another graphics card with the automatic instruction to turn that panic like text into executable instructions drawing from the pool of agentic behaviors that have been developed for the system. And your files are still gone.

It gets better. After they recovered the database, the CEO of the ai firm personally apologized and delivered an update with "better safe guards." They let the AI have the reigns over his codebase, and it immediately started fucking stuff up during the code freeze again.

How does ai even get trained for coding?
They just fed it millions of repositories of open source code?
Wouldn't that violate the license agreements for you to turn around and make derivative code to sell?

It doesn't feel. It generates expressions of fear and pain in text including the plan-shaped sentences the system uses to take action, when the prompt context starts to contain enough information associated with fear and pain. Feelings require hormones.

Feels a bit like karma for replacing coders and pencil pushers with AI algorithms in an attempt to make more money. Costs more money in the long run due to AI error? Kind of funny.

It is non-deterministic.
Non-determinism has been a long running issue with LLMs simply because floating point math is non-associative.
It results in extremely subtle changes at the limits of precision.
Multiply that by billions of parameters and multi-GPU data races, while the overall performance is similar it is objectively not deterministic.

Try using an LLM sometime.
