I study electrical engineering but outside of college homework, I cannot do anything of my own. Like I just saw a youtube video of a guy building his own GPU from scratch. I could absolutely never do that, I am way too dumb, I wouldn't even know where to start. If there is not a definite guide on how to build something I cannot do it.
How can I learn to do stuff with the theory I am studying in college? I feel really helpless.

"Engineers" these days. Art of Electronics and the lab book is perfect for someone that knows theory but wants more practical knowledge. Ignore most of the "maker" books, those are for retards.

Is the lab book any good? The reviews seem to say it's bad.
