X-mouse button control. I use it for remapping shit on my mouse in Windows, and it's great. Per application profiles, low CPU cost, sensible design.

Classic Macintosh program that put a cat on the desktop which would chase your mouse around. Originally on the PC9801, but seems most ports to follow are based on the Mac one.

unnessesary rust port.
Liked it better when it was just python. was easier to get running back then.
That and it's SRS algorythm is like fifty fucking years old and unoptimal for more serious retention learning.
You are constantly in a game of trying to manage your dailies other wise the reviews balloon out of proportion.
If you do too many new reviews: 2+ hour long session ahead
Do too little: you learn nothing
Do a "healthy" amount: your repeating the same cards too many times.
Theres no winning with it's algorythm. having to learn fifty gorillion little cheats to get it to work properly is tiresome and other SRS flashcard applications don't have this issue.

I want to like anki but it just fucking sucks.

There's a new fsrs algorithm. Doesn't really fix the shit you mentioned, obviously if you add new cards you'll have to review them. It isn't as bad now though.

I absolutely hate it, but not the program itself (it's brilliant), only what it constantly makes me go through.
>>105997017
It's kind of garbage and a pain to use (especially when it considers all Japanese text to be Chinese for whatever reason), but to this day there's nothing else that fills its niche, so it's indispensable.
>>105997097
I use the Yomitan integration and e.g. ttsu reader for this.
>>105997425
I hope that anon who hates it for some autistic reason won't appear here.
>>106000420
Depends on your particular needs. For epub manga (fixed layout) everything is a piece of shit, except for maybe Cover which is sadly a Windows 8 style app. Best to just extract those epubs into a folder with images. For Japanese LNs - ttsu (yes, it's a web app, sadly). For Western language books - honestly, even SumatraPDF is fine enough.

Love me some keepAss. Been contemplating moving to self-hosted bitwarden though. Its just feels quicker to use and more compatible with more sites (have to use it at work).
