In the beginning, it was genuinely much better than most built in players. Now it's basically just pixel peeping for autistic videophiles with crazy home theater setups...and even many of those are realizing its not really necessary.

I mean, it does give you the best scaling quality.
But eventually I just started downloading 480p version of anime and not caring, because it doesn't really matter.
