What are the reasons not to daily drive this?
-seems to have good security defaults out of the box
-Reasonably fast updates
-90% of the software I want is in the main package manager.
only thing I wonder about is steam/proton and gaming support but I have a feeling its fine.

Talk me out of distro-hopping for the Nth time.

I think zypper is retarded compared to typical RPM package management and only really looks appealing to people who think Windows should have kept adding more shit to the control panel.

honestly every distro has it's pros and cons. The trick is finding one that suits your wants/needs. If you want to spend your time trying out a new distro when you already have one you're relatively happy with, by all means. Keep in mind you could have spent that time actually using your computer or something. I recommend trying it out when you actually have to reinstall your current OS or setup a new computer. Good luck, peace.
