Spreadsheets aren't difficult to learn. You just need your functions/formulas. Then you build your template and it's all about filling in the data. Hardest part is learning how fucking unintuitive and shitty Excel is.

I own more books than anyone on this site, but software tutorials are best done visually. Watch the video and follow along. For excel, it’s not like there’s a lot of dense theory that is hard to demonstrate.

Just watch videos, practice, get some course from udemy and power through it, basic Excel is not that hard really. It only gets more serious when you get into data analytics, but by that point you'll be better off using PowerBI.

If you were smart enough you would've AT LEAST stated what industry you applied for and what specific skills you lied about.

MS Excel is huge. You can spend months just practicing VBA (macros) since they have so many gotchas.

What is it you need to know? Basic use can be learned in an hour max.

Practise by doing. Create a spreadsheet yourself for something you're autistic about.

Just learn VBA and power platform. I hate pivot tables and the use case where a pivot table is better than either a power BI dashboard or a VBA script is basically non-existent DESU. Power platform is awesome for business settings though, and depending on how (un)sensitive the data is you could automate your entire job.
