>just 6 months of use
it's never a good idea to go with cheap chinese shit I suppose
I have problems with mine too. It misses 5% of button presses. Sometimes a button remains pressed when I don't touch it. 8bitdo is absolute garbage and I'm ashamed I fell for the extreme shilling that went on about 2 years ago on /vr/.
>>106007455 (OP)another retard who doesnt know about warranty.
this is becoming quite common, is this s third world thing?
>>106007471I wonder if gamesaar is any better.
>>106007481I've replaced it with a PS4 controller, it's absolutely perfect.

>>106007455 (OP)my 360 controller still works after 10+ years
>>106007455 (OP)Glad I just bought the receivers so I can use my PS4 controller with my retro consoles.
Don't the new ones have hall effect sticks?
>>106007722Yeah
They still break after 6 months
All this chinese crap does
They just rely on youtubers to shill all of this junk
>>106007722Ha! You thought hall effect was a magic bullet to solve all problems?
>cheap
i bought it when it was more expensive than OEM
>>106007821i've had mine for 2 years OEM breaks just as much
>>106007846initial batches may have better materials before they switch out to cheaper ones
does it still work?
>>106007846oem's as in what? i'm not familiar with modern console controllers because i still use a playstation controller on my pc that i bought 26 years ago
>>106007455 (OP)Works on my machine but I bought the hall effect one.
>>106007455 (OP)I had my Pro 2 Wired Xbox working for 2 years until I sold it for Gamesir Nova Lite. Zero issues. You were just unlucky. Happens with any sort of tech from every vendor.
Does anyone make a controller with a D-pad like the PS Vita?

yeah it works fine i'm kind of annoyed about input lag though

I had the OG version for 4 years and swapped it out for the ultimate because I grew out of nintendo and needed xbox bindings
>>106007474Good fucking luck getting a chinese company to follow through with a warranty
They'll give you an address, they get it, salvage/throw it in the trash, and then when you contact them they'll say they never received it.
>>106008215is the input lag just a bluetooth thing? does it go away if I use a hard wire?

>>106008821Depends where you live and where you bought it. Brick and mortar stores sure, but a lot of online stores won't do shit to help.
Ok this week I was trying to use PS5 controller on Steam games. Bad idea dont bother. I bought the Razer Wolverine mk2 and it just worked. Wired os obv better too. Maybe this sounds like a shill post idc thats the one you want.
>>106008844In my country every store is required to do that by law.
>>106008864Mine too, but have you ever tried it on e.g. Amazon/ebay? They'll just direct you to contact the seller.

>>106008305I refuse to buy Microsoft garbage and even less when that device was an attempt to monopolize controllers on PC with XInput. Also Xbox controllers are asymmetric, which is bad for 2D, and not very comfortable imo.

>>106007481The G7 is a good controller, but the bumpers need a redesign. My first G7 lasted six months before the left bumper broke. They sent me a replacement controller free of charge, but it's showing signs that the same thing is going to happen.
>>106011221Bluetooth models have worse chipsets that both poll worse and have latency that is both worse on average (as per my picture) and periodically spikes. Unless there's a non-negotiable feature on the Bluetooth version you want and you refuse to buy anything but 8Bitdo they're strictly inferior to their wired or Wireless models (which also usually have better bluetooth anyway)

my ultimate 2 wireless works just fine with TMR sticks and HE buttons in both xinput and dinput (+4 buttons) on windows, linux and switch, with minimal latency. the wireless adapter makes it work on every other console too.

Why do all modern controllers have to look so fucking weird?
I just want a PS3 style controller with ABXY
WHY ISN'T IT POSSIBLE?
>>106007455 (OP)the 8bitpoo shitpads get endlessly shilled on /v/ too
Iโll say it again but I think the potentiometers fail because the graphite strips wear quickly, creating graphite particulates that build up and give erroneous readings by shorting the potentiometer.
Iโve fixed two joysticks that were unusable because of jitter/drift by taking them apart, cleaning the graphite strips with alcohol q-tip then a little petroleum jelly on a qtip on the pad. My reasoning is that the petroleum jelly catches the graphite particulates and because petroleum jelly is not conductive, the graphite particles that rub off donโt form shorts within the joystick. Fixed my 15$ game pad I got from walmart this way
>>106007455 (OP)Microsoft shills are getting desperate

>>106008856Definitely user error
Dualsense works flawlessly in steam games and many games even support it natively without using steam input.
>>106013231Dualsense is nothing but an upgrade over DS4 unless you have nintoddler hands, I guess.
>>106013634>Petroleum jellyYou are supposed to use silicone grease numbnuts, petroleum jelly can break down certain components.
>>106013231Haptics and adaptive triggers are cool gimmicks in the games that support them, other than that it's mostly just the size difference.
>>106013231Honestly I think even the buttons and dpad feel s lot better on the dualsense
It's just a superior controller in every way
