You're getting me nostalgic for ibsearch. It used to be an all encompassing booru search engine, but it got taken offline years ago. Either way, there were some half decent search engine type porn sites back in the day, such as TubeGalore, but those days are long gone.

If I faced this problem regularly and kept repeatedly being unable to reverse search doujins, after being frustrated enough times, I'd just download every single hentai in existence (using torrents or by scraping nhentai) and find an open source algorithm for reverse image searching and ranking by similarity, then I would make my own search interface.
Again it's a skill issue. It's not a small project but the effort to benefit ratio would be really minimal.
