Honestly, any major distro that offers your preferred DE is fine.
I use Kubuntu because I'm used to debian-isms like apt and I don't see any benefit in learning another set of commands.

I use KDE simply because it looks more like Windows. Gnome looks like Apple to me so I avoided it. Had no issues with KDE so far.

I couldn't get Discover to show custom repos. They'd show up in the sources, but not in the search. Even when I installed a third-party ap p like Spotify or Chrome through the terminal, they still wouldn't show up under the Installed section of Discover.

Nobara KDE is better.

I hate kde, flatpak and wayland. Nothing against fedora per se tho. Their community seems generally friendly too, but they are as annoying as arch users when they shill their OS too much.
8/10.

Fedoratards are way worse, they act like their distro's corpo sponsorship makes it better even though other distros ship the same software.

Now that you put it that way, I honestly agree. On the other hand (and maybe this is just my bad luck and reductionist opinion) Ive found that most shill threads come from Arch, Fedora, or Mint. I think their users are the most likely to try to popularize their OS either via spam or obsessively talking about it and how great it is. Happens with all distros as you say, but I feel those are the big three shillkings

because those are the most used and objectively better ones. Ubuntu is used by normies or people who use it for work so you wont find them here, the others are just rarely used, for example ive never seen an opensuse or pop os user here.

SUSE posters surely decreased but it was still popular until not so long ago. I remember some of their users spamming this 'windows is jewish and suse is nazi and white' image a lot, you know, the typical which way white man threads and all that.
I don't have it sadly but maybe some other anon can post it.
