>>106013733>email has been dead for yearsAnon, let me tell you a story, my story, the story of what happened less than a month ago
I was interested in Linux and security, and I switched to fedora Linux and fucking grapheneOS at the same exact time. I took proper precautions before doing so, I backed up my files, I made sure I knew all my passwords for everything, including my emails. Everything should have been a nice, smooth, easy transition. After all, I still haven't had any major problems with either one themselves.
Only.
The.
Emails.
I can't make phonecalls because the free app I used for a VOIP phone number requires my email, I can't check my medical appointments and have to trust on a whim that I wrote down the right dates, I can't call my mother on Facebook messenger because it will only log me in if I click the verification email, I can't play games to relax because steam also needs the verification link to be clicked to fucking log in.
And why, why oh why can't I log in to my email? Because the only options are to send a verification email to another fucking email that I can't access without sending a verification email to the first email address, or the other option, to send a code to the phone number I can't access without fucking logging in to my email.
Email isn't fucking dead, emails just aren't used to communicate anymore.
