What's the point of measures aimed at lowering the gender gap in computer science by trying to prompt girls to take an interest in this field?

I'm refering to "women in tech" programmes, internships for middle/high school girls and girls-only competitions (e.g. EGOI).

>they are obviously not interested
>we don't fundamentally need women in comp sci, since men do the job well
(and better)
>they'll just be a distraction for men at work

There is no advantages in having more female engineers, software developers or researchers.

There's no advantages of equality in anything, this is just politicians trying to find some dumb thing to use in election campaigns and social media
>hmmm my public figure is centered around feminism and women's rights, what can I do to get more public attention

Wouldn't they be more productive if there were no woman to look at?

i did a computing course at university
i had three women in my course: one was autistic and actually into it, one despite being smart enough to find it relatively easy was only there for cock (i know) and actually i know after she left and got a job has been moved to a third site now because she keeps sleeping with everyone, the last girl wanted to study maths but couldn't afford it, computing course on the other hand was fully funded and she got a bursary for accommodation etc too, shes a stay at home parent now.
but to answer your question i don't know. i don't know why anyone encourages anyone else into any job, all kids should get as much mixed experience as possible of the world and then be able to figure out roughly what they want to do with their lives rather than be bribed and coerced.
but i do take issue with your point about men doing the job well. i find 99% of people men and women fundamentally are completely retarded and also just awful and horrible and stupid people. perhaps you just think that women are worse than men because so few of them in the field its less likely to find a reasonably intelligent one.

Women aren't so involved in this field as men, that's right. However, I also think that men are generally better at logical reasoning and problem solving than women (that that may be a reason explaining why there are so few of them in this field). Therefore, I really think that computer science would progress faster without them.

Anecdote: I went to top 4 CS school and the entering class was the same gender ratio as in OP pic when I attended. Now it's a forced 50-50 ratio due to DEI/political bullshit. You can bet that the program and classes dumbed down since then
