CPU is the least of my worries. My biggest worries are how hard I need to press down when inserting certain parts out of fear of bending the motherboard as I heard more horror stories from that than a few bent pins on the CPU.
Hearing that crackling noise always has me sweating bullets. There's some motherboard brands/models that have the shitty way to install RAM too. Where instead of 2 latches that you unlock and simply insert the RAM until both latches snap in, there's some with only 1 latch and no matter what, you have to force one end down and all you hear is crunching noise along with the motherboard's crackling noise.
